When you jump into a pool of water (not dive, where your hands are required, but like a good old cannon ball) do you plug your nose?
I do. Not because I never learned how to blow air out my nose. I did, and can. I just sort of like to plug my nose. It is habit. But every single time I do, Ben (who is a very experienced waterman type) goes into a fit of giggles.
Am I the only water loving adult who does this?

NO! I do it all the time! If I don't then, like a child, I get water all up my nose and the fun is OVER! ha. You're not alone with the nose plug ;)
ReplyDeleteHolding your nose is the entire point.
ReplyDeleteI plug my nose. Every single time. Can't help it!
ReplyDeleteHa! That is an awesome picture! I don't think I plug my nose. I need both to hold my legs!
ReplyDeleteyep. funny you bring this up... on vacation a couple weeks ago, i noticed i was plugging my nose every time i went underwater. once i realized i was doing it, i made a solid effort to stop. failed.
ReplyDeleteYES. It's my secret shame. I'm a pretty strong swimmer, so it's even worse. But when I don't plug, I get a rush of water up my nose, unless I try a super-dramatic blow-out maneuver as soon as I hit the water...and let's just face it, that's too much of an effort. :)
ReplyDeletewater goes up your nose if you just jump in? I don't hold mine or blow air. Now, if I do a flip turn I feel as if someone put a firehose up my nose.
ReplyDeleteI no longer jump in a pool... I glide into it... LOL BUT, in my cannonball days, YES... I plugged my nose to keep the water rush out.

TAKE THAT HUSBAND
ReplyDeleteI do it, religiously. You can't blow water out your knows with sufficient velocity to prevent it from getting all up in there mid-cannonball.
ReplyDeletePlug it! I'm so glad you posted this. I will no longer feel sheepish.
ReplyDeleteps...I have the same polka dot bikini as you. I LOVE THE BOTTOMS! Most flattering cut ever.
