Somehow I feel this is the post that will be the last straw, takes away any bit of sort of cool designey type blogger that I used to be and well....

Oh wellllll. You are well aware by now I love breastfeeding. And talking about breastfeeding. And taking photos of breastfeeding. And sharing photos of myself breastfeeding. Got it, right?

The Mother's Circle is a free weekly support group hosted by Robin Kaplan / The San Diego Breastfeeding Center. It was such a god sent to us when Henry was little, a sanctuary and much needed help! I am always SO inspired by the work that Robin does for women and babies in our community, so i asked if I could come take a few photos of the group. I think they are pretty cute!

  3. So beautiful!!

Almost two weeks ago someone left a box with 1 day old 8 puppies in it on my front door. I decided to keep them until they're strong enough to be apart from each other and can be adopted, so i had to learn all i could about dogs and puppies and mammals, and OH GOD, i've thought so so so much about EVERYTHING on motherhood, you know? This lovely puppies need so much care and attention that only their mother could give, despite all i can do and think and plan as a human being, all they need is their mother, they need their mother's milk and no milk i can make mixing cow's, eggs, honey and butter could ever replace that! Four of them died and the other four remain with us as we try to do our bests to help them, but you know... mum's milk is SO important. So after all this going on in my life, all that made me thing about mothering and having my own babies, i run into your post and i just feel it's all so obvious... this is pure love.

I love every bit of this post. Your pictures are beautiful! I moved from San Diego to NC this year and I miss the awesome preggo/birth/postpartum/breastfeeding support vibe I got in San Diego. This reminds me so much of what I miss. Thank you for sharing.

Those photos are so sweet. I remember thinking that a breastfeeding group seemed a little over the top BEFORE I had a baby. Afterward, well, that's a whole different story. I only went to my local group a couple of times since I was so overwhelmed about the screaming-baby-carseat situation, but I wish I had made the effort to go every week. You can seriously learn a LOT from other mamas. (And other mamas' blogs!!)
