K. So. You know how, like us, our friends Britt & Scott were wed in the desert. And, like us, they LOVE owls. Well, like us, the last day of their wedding weekend they had a special (lucky) owl presence.....
"On our last day, this appeared on the Hatch House window. Consensus has it that this western screech owl headed for the glass in the middle of the night but managed to put the brakes on last minute. dust later blew onto the feather oils, leaving a perfect feather-for-feather imprint complete with intricate facial details. A blessing." {Britt & Scott}

I had heard the story, but I just now saw the accompanying images. F!!!!

A blessing, indeed. And I couldn't think of two more deserving people! ♥

    makes me want an owl to fly into my plain black tee for a badass fashion statement. i'm totally into it.

    love the blog- it's a new find for me and i've enjoyed going through past and present posts-- i'm in a bit of the same boat as you, starting out post-college and getting into a creative profession..

  8. clearly jareth is in love with britt.

    @molly: an owl flew into my father-in-law's face while he was riding a motorcycle one day. he's unbreakable, so it was okay, but it wasn't fun.

    Poor little owl! It probably hit the window pretty hard to leave a perfect print like that (it is very beautiful). But they are tough little creatures. It hapened at work and the bird was super dizzy for a few minutes.

  15. an OWL dusting! there has to be a really wonderful word for this...i'm going to get back to you on that. what a a strange, miraculous desert moment.

    this happened on our living room window with a hummingbird, and the poor little guy slid down the window like in a cartoon, lay comatose on the ground for a moment, finally ruffled his tiny feathers, and flew off. tough little guys!
