We drove home from Joshua Tree today. Above is a picture I took today of the windmills I always loved seeing so much as a child when we visited my grandparents in Palm Springs. We were set to drive home yesterday, but thanks to a conversation with a friend Ben Left realized I was right when I mentioned what a mistake that was, and we immediately [during the reception!] booked a room for another night.
Now we are officially on our "homey-moon"
It was a whirlwind.
It was [somehow] exactly how we pictured it.
It was exhausting.
It was fantastic.
We are married!
Michelle took 4 packs of polis but I refused to see them. I figure it is better to be in the moment and surprised later. So she is scanning them for her records then sending me a disk and the pictures. Getting the package will be so much fun!!! I will def be sharing when they get here.
Look closely below. This little Owl friend has been for the last two weeks been living in the tree that shadowed our ceremony site. I like to think he was over-watching. Owls are good luck, right? When asked if our owl friend had a name our inkeeper suggested that she might start calling it Jamie. [That is my name.]
Stay tuned!
Congrats!! Have a fabulous and peaceful honeymoon. I can't wait to see the pictures and hear more about it when you get back....
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your homey-moon, but know that we are anxiously awaiting pics! J Tree is one of my favorite places and I can't wait to see how it turned out. Congratulations!
