Have you guys heard about the Oxford American Magazine's annual Music Edition? (Oh, I know you have) I only did this morning, after hearing this story on my local public broadcasting station. Apparently, they have been publishing an annual issue for 12 years that celebrates Southern music, and for the last few year they choose a different state to focus on. This year it is Alabama. They cover an amazing range of music (soul, blues, country, rap?) from over the decades. It comes with a CD of course. I can't wait to pick up a copy for me and Ben.

  6. Love the southern isssue!! I heard about it last year on NPR and bought last year's issue and it was AMAZING. Also, due to the timing, this is a wonderful gift/stocking stuffer to give music lovers.
