I was listening to this Fresh Air interview with Jason Schwartzman the other day. He recalls asking his mom for her help preparing for his audition for Rushmore. After she finishes reading the script, she went straight to the video store to pick up The Graduate, Dog Day Afternoon, and Harold and Maude in preparation. Nice. Subsequent to hearing this, I instantly added Dog Day Afternoon to the top of our netflix que, (I have never seen it!) and it holds the highest company. This makes me wonder what else I am missing....

I loved that interview! My favorite part was when he talked about hearing Mr. T say sexually suggestive things to his mom on camera and how it made him feel really weird. And I thought to myself, you know, I got 99 problems, but hearing Mr. T talk dirty to my mother ain't one.

(Also, did you know there is college-era short fiction by both Owen Wilson and Wes Anderson floating around online? The internet is a magical place.)
