Remember when our friend fell and hit his head (to put it insanely mildly.)? Last night we had dinner with Dorian & Aimee in a mini celebration. 6 months of recovery later, Dorian, a writer, has his first cover story in San Diego's weekly paper! It is documenting his experience with the injury. You can read it here. And then spend some time thinking about helmets. Photograph of Dorian by his talented wife Aimee. If Dorian's story leaves you wanting more, check out his blog, where he has been writing about his recovery as it happens.

*oh crap! I had the wrong link. Sorry!

  1. I was reading his story at influx yesterday morning. It most certainly left an impression. I had a friend do something similar on a skateboard, but he wasn't so lucky. He pasted a couple of years ago.

  4. That's pretty amazing. Not gonna lie, I got choked up a couple times - namely at the thought of Aimee singing Wilco songs to him. So glad he's doing better - and HERE, as Mouse said.
