For a long time I have thought about taking a page from the books of a couple of my favorite bloggers, and recapping the weekend in images. Mostly, I think it's a great way to make sure I am active in my picture taking, since I sort of have someone to report back to. It is so hard to keep up with, so we will see how it goes.

Ben works Saturday mornings, so I almost always "sleep in." This means I stay in bed and read longer than appropriate. It is very luxurious, and I have made quite the habit of it. Perfect for INSANELY rainy days like Saturday. (After I managed to pry myself out of bed) Lorenzo and I got started on his derby car. Followed by rain play. The rest of the weekend was spent working, in a manner. But the good, fun, fulfilling kind. Even though we have a second room set up as office/music room, I like to work out in the living room when I have a significant project ahead of me. I pull the dining table out into the middle of the open space so that if I want to watch re runs of buffy while I cut & glue I can. Making diagrams & listening to TAL late into Saturday I felt like I was in school again. At one point in the evening Ben even turned to me and said, "Remember when you were in school for 5 years? And I was there the whole time." Cute. Not pictured was the reward of all the hard work, where we scooted over to Blind Lady Ale House, our new favorite haunt. I only had one beer (more or less), but it must have been a strong one 'cause this morning has been a little rough!

  1. i have to say i like looking at the weekend in photo posts because it gives this little inside peek into what your lives are like. for example, your yard looks a lot nicer than mine! i also really like the idea of using a blog to keep track of what's going on in one's life so in theory i'd like to blog about my weekends more but my lag between taking photos, and getting them resized and uploaded and writing the post is so long.

  4. Peonies does not have fond memories of glue, so just be careful not to traumatize her.
