I have a very important question.

Do the images on my blog come up blury and grainy?

I thought I did such a good job, figuring our how to enlarge them to my exact desired dimensions while fixing the resolution. All in HTML. (I'm so clever)

But then, I happen to take a peek at my blog while at work (sh) and they are grainy as hell! What the f*ck?

So tell me, do the images on my blog come up blury and grainy on your screen? Or is it a fluke with where I work.

Help.

  4. I've never had any problems. But then again, I (normally) view them in the latest Firefox.

    I'm at work (inside a mega corporation with an outdated IT department) and just tried it with the browser we have here, which is Internet Explorer 6. And I am seeing what you see with the photos getting all jagged and blocky. It has to do with the interpolation default that IE6 (and might be other IEs as well) uses by default. You can force IE to scale photos the way other browsers do by adding this to your css:
    img { -ms-interpolation-mode: bicubic; }

    Hopefully that does the trick.

    Umm they look a little blurry and grainy to me, but then again I'm at work. I'll look again from home and see if it looks different.

  8. Firefox loves them.

    And you should share your secrets, because I cannot figure out how to do what you've done.

  10. I work as a designer, so my monitor is slightly fancy, and they look great. Although, when I look at pictures on my husbands old PC monitor, they never look as good.

  18. A little tip to make your photos more crisp with blogger. When you load your photos and the code shows up, find the text in there that says /D500 or something like that (can't fully remember). But delete that. Then your photos will look MUCH nicer.
