So, I may have sort of accidentally bought this camera? Oops? I have only shot 1+ roll of film on it. On the first roll that I have had processed, I was pretty pleased with my exposures (yes!) , but need some practice on getting my images in focus through the waist level viewfinder.

I took this pretty one just after the sun hit the mountains while we were photographing a wedding in Ojai. SO EXCITED to shoot more! I might bring it to a family session (at bird park!) on Monday.

  4. i'm so jealous! i long-term-borrowed one from my boss, but i had to give it back when i quit. i sort of hoped he would forget i had it.

there's something so special about shooting film, the excitement when you think you have something good, waiting to finish the roll & then holding prints (prints!) in your hands.

if you can get your hands on a polaroid back i would highly recommend it. have fun!

  6. JELZ. I have discovered that I am somewhat terrible at focusing with a waist level. I had to buy a new viewfinder for my Mamiya because it just wasn't happening for me!

  7. Where did you get this awesome camera from? Beautiful photographs! I'm currently adjusting to a new lens for my Nikon that only has manual focus. Wow, what a HUGE difference. I'm trying to be patient with myself, but I get so irritated when my pictures look clear through the viewfinder and look blurry as hell on my computer.

I keep "accidentally" buying things online, haha. I seem to have no impulse control when looking at pretty pictures of things I want on the internet.

  8. Good for YOU! I bought one about 12 years ago, other cameras have come and gone but my trusty Hasselblad has always been and will always be my favorite. It is a wonderful camera for children because of it's waste level focus.
