It is a bit silly really. I can't even make out the entire shoe. But I am completely sad that these demoo parkchoonmoo shoes as photographed by field guided by are from last spring. Because I am pretty sure they are the perfect shoe. They are like, the unicorn of shoes or whatever. Kind of like these dreamboats.

perfect shoe, perfect bag, perfect hair... i want it all, and have yet to manage obtaining even one.
ReplyDeleteeven *I* know i that the "perfect hair" will never ever, ever happen (for me.)
Deletehave you tried writing jacqueline west, the costumer from benjamin button and asking about sourcing for that look? that's probably a bit crazypants, but fashion people Get that kind of enthusiasm. or, when you kids are in LA, maybe check out palace costume or american costume corp, the two spots mentioned in that piece on her? definitely the note, though - could totally work.
ReplyDeleteoh, LMO. i was *this close* to referencing you in the post. but i was trying to be... succinct???
Deleteyou think? i think she could tell me all about her *inspiration* for the look, which would help jack all in me finding shoes...
mind you, my experience is largely with nyc-based fashion obsessives, but i think if you found a charming way of saying, "listen, lady, the shoes you found for cate in that scene are genius and have been haunting my dreams, please share the wisdom," i mean - i'd hook up a kindred spirit in a situation like that.
ReplyDeleteHI

I thought the same thing when I saw this photo! perfection. they look so comfy, too.
ReplyDeleteIn the Spring catalogue from Toast there are a gorgeous pair of suede ankle boots - not as pointy, or in black, but still, I wouldn't kick them out of bed...
