The weekend started with Ben-type family as the mom-niece-brother visit came to an end, then quickly transitioned into Jamie-type family (Dad! GRANDPARENTS!), with just the right amount of overlap. My grandparents are spending the month in Oceanside, and so my Dad and his girlfriend also came for the weekend. They could not have chosen a better weekend, because Southern California is trying to make up for it's lack of summer with gorgeous weather, and they had a beach front condo. Guys, it was a real summer weekend. And, no surprise given my Dad the beer enthusiast and the plethora of North County selection, there was a lot of fine beer going around.

ReplyDeleteI love.
I'm so glad you're finally getting some summer weather! Better late than never, yes?
ReplyDeleteThe sun + palm trees are exactly how I picture Southern California. And mmm, good beer. Can't go wrong with good beer.
The fifth one down is my fave. They're clearly discussing bears. BEARS.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU for solving that.

My summer has burnt up into a fizzle, leaving behind nights that dip below 45. I'm dying of a cold heart, and I cannot tell you how warm/happy/delighted I am to see such golden sun + panda butt + beer. I just died a sweet death.
ReplyDeletei think your cat might understand things.
ReplyDeleteI love the one of Ben and your G-ma in full Italian-gesturing-mode. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you don't have to get over the rocker. It was rude of me to suggest such a thing ;)
ReplyDeleteActually, your G-ma looks like she might be demonstrating to Ben the best way to feel a girl up, and Ben is getting it TOTALLY wrong.
ReplyDeleteHe's all, "You mean like this Grandma?" And she's like, "Honey, you've got it backwards. I give up."
Ben is a dyslexic perve.
;)
