"Um, cowboy boots?" She asked with an assumed scoff.

"Um. *yeah*" I answered.  Defiantly.

I have spoke of my obsession over boots.  Largely due to the motorcycle riding.  That and all the t shirt wearing I *have* to have cute shoes.  I don't know what I would do without my cowboy boots.  They are always there for me.  With a vintage sundress or jeans tucked neatly inside.  They are so good to me.  Anyone else like to rock cowboy boots not in texas?

  2. I don't have any. But it's because of empty wallet, not because of lack of total love for cowboy boots. The right ones just look perfect.

Not as cute as yours, but they get the job done. (regular rain boots just make me look like a tourist)

  4. I don't know that I really "rock" them, but I do have a couple pairs that I wear fairly often. :-) And I'm definitely NOT in Texas.

  6. I have a beat up vintage pair that I wear with dresses and skirts. I'm in TN though so it's not that uncommon. It's just that most people don't wear them with summer skirts and t-shirts.

  7. Back in July, when packing for my year in Ecuador, my dad rolled his eyes as I stuffed my cowboy boots into my traveling backpack. Sigh. Dads.

  8. I'd kill for a beat-up comfy pair to rock all over the place! Sadly, never found any cool ones round these parts. There was a pair I spotted once in London, beyond my budget... I still think longingly of them!

  9. hee hee. I just looked at the picture again. I was so cuted out by your pets that I actually didn't *see* the cowboy boots.

For the record, I have no problem with cowboy boots.

  13. I looove cowboy boots. I had a fabulous bright red pair that I used to wear a lot a few years ago. Now, I have a gorgeous chocolate brown pair I bought in Colorado for $2 last year. I was in a country hick town and noone else was excited by the boots but me. Too close to home maybe? I need to get them reheeled though. Can you get cowboy boots reheeled?

  14. Never owned a pair because they were very *trendy* in England a while ago and girls who could barely fit them over their calves were wearing very cheap knock-off versions, which rather put me off wearing them myself.

That and when I was 13 I asked my Dad if he thought I would look good in knee high boots and he said he thought I would look great in a pair of cowboy boots. At 13 you don't take sartorial advice from your Dad!

But in principle, I think they look great. Even outside of Texas.

  15. i love a good pair of boots! i'm thinking of sporting them at my upcoming wedding, but my hubby to be is less than thrilled about the idea... (i included a link to your post)

as a soon to be desert bride, your wedding was amazing!

  16. Ok, I confess! I do live in Wyoming! But they're not my everyday shoes like some people out here. That said, I will be wearing them under my wedding dress. :-)

Amber, you can definitely resole cowboy boots! I just took had my fiance's done and it's super easy. His cost $60 to do, but that's only because he had worn them to shreds (again) and they needed a lot of love. My favorite pair was found at Goodwill for $7. I don't think I'll ever get so lucky again!

  17. Personally I consider my boots and my Chucks completely interchangeable. Though you can definitely step into more, um, stuff (mud, muck, snow, puddles, etc.) with boots which is super awesome when you've got a hubby likely to suddenly veer off the road into the ditch to pick the first pussy willows of the season.
